Production Operator

Company Information

: Jeneil Biotech, Inc. is an innovative biotechnology company that offers unparalleled specialization of natural fermentation and enzyme processes to create several value-added products including natural dairy flavors, dairy-type flavors for plant-based foods, natural flavor molecules, probiotics and cultures, and fermentation-derived bioproducts, such as biosurfactants and their derivatives. 

Scope of the position:

The Production Technician will be responsible for safe and effective operation of large-scaletanks (300L-3000L) or other manufacturing process in compliance with production specifications. The Production Technician will be able to prioritize activities with assigned scope and responsibility and strictly adhere to safety standards and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). This position is for 2nd or 3rd shift.

Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Performing cleaning and sterilization (CIP/SIP) of 300L-3000L fermenters, glassware and other materials required for production of flavor chemicals and probiotics
• Handling and preparation of chemicals, setting up flasks and fermenters required for the production process
• Maintaining fermentation systems and equipment needed for above process.
• Communicating effectively with team members to ensure operations are in compliance with GMP, HACCP and SOPs
• Maintaining accurate records of process and clean work environment in area of responsibility to avoid contamination and cross-contamination
• Other duties as assigned


Education and/or Experience:

• Minimum requirements: High school diploma or equivalent
• Preferred requirements: 1+ year(s) of experience operating small or large-scale tanks in GMP environment

• Ability to work independently or as a part of a team 
• Willingness to learn
• Ability to follow precise instructions.
• Ability to handle frequent change, unexpected delays, and respond professionally under pressure

Maintenance Specialist

Scope of the position:

The Maintenance Specialist is responsible for ensuring maximum operating efficiency of production and lab machinery and equipment and general facility maintenance and repair. 

 

Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Ensure maximum operating efficiency, maintenance, and repair of machines and equipment in production areas and general facility
• Professional and technical communication with maintenance, operations, and other resources to solve machine-related issues and take appropriate steps to keep equipment in peak operational condition
• Facilitate functionality of work order management via Upkeep software and application
• Follow and execute preventative maintenance procedures
• Complete accurate and timely documentation of work orders and maintenance records
• Assist other maintenance personnel as needed
• Maintain and promote safe work environment by taking appropriate precautions and measures
• Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices, policies, and procedures as outlined in Safe Quality Food program
• Other duties as assigned

Education and/or Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1 year food industry experience
• 1 year maintenance experience

Competencies:

• Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
• Understanding of functional criteria for control systems, power systems, and electronic device selection
• Excellent organizational and critical thinking skills
• Familiarity with work order management software systems
• Ability to work independently or collaboratively with resourcefulness, originality, and initiative
• Ability to manage frequent change or unexpected delays in a professional manner
• Ability to work flexible schedule
