Jeneil's natural biosurfactant products can be used in various industries for environmentally friendly solutions.
Jeneil Biosurfactant Company, LLC is the exclusive manufacturer of Zonix BionfungicideTM. ZonixTM provides protection from plant pathogens and zoosporic contamination by Phytophthora, Pythium, and Downy Mildew without the use of copper. Zonix BiofungicideTM is EPA-approved (registration number 72431-WI-001), certified through the Organic Materials Review Institute (OMRI), and is allowed as a non-synthetic adjuvant by the National Organic Program (NOP). The ZonixTM brand offers a safe, environmentally sound, and sustainable alternative to prevent disease outbreaks in crops. Zonix BiofungicideTM was presented the Green Thumb Award in 2015 for honors in the Tools, Supplies, and Accessories division by the Direct Gardening Association.
Jeneil’s natural biosurfactant molecules are also used as growth adjuvants to improve crop yield, increase soil nutrient bioavailability, and promote healthy root systems and overall plant health. Our JBR product series has an Exemption from the Requirement of a Tolerance (EPA listing in the Federal Register 40 CFR, Part 180, Vol 69, No. 62, March 31, 2014; pp 16796 – 16800).
Jeneil offers a diverse array of natural rhamnolipids or co-surfactant systems that are cost competitive and sustainably produced for bioremediation applications and crude oil recovery. Our rhamnolipid biosurfactants can facilitate the removal of hydrocarbons and heavy metals. These rhamnolipids (singly, or in combination with other compounds) have been effective in remediating soil and sludge. In numerous applications, these biosurfactants have replaced synthetic or petroleum-derived surfactants which are considered non-environmentally friendly. Furthermore, the rhamnolipids have been demonstrated to possess a synergistic activity with many synthetic surfactants, consequently resulting in a substantial reduction in synthetic surfactant components.
Our natural rhamnolipid biosurfactant products provide excellent properties that are desired in personal care products, such as emulsification, wetting, detergency, foaming, and biodegradability. Jeneil manufactures biosurfactants that are free of heavy metals and harsh chemicals, are biodegradable, and do not produce or leave residues that may be harmful or persistent. These superior qualities make our rhamnolipid biosurfactant molecules suitable for many diverse applications. These bioproducts can be used in the manufacture of environmentally sound and sustainably produced items including soaps, pastes, shampoos, creams, and contact lens cleaners.
Jeneil specializes in the production of fermentation-derived natural molecules that are Generally Regarded as Safe (GRAS) and can be used as sustainable alternatives to conventional synthetic antimicrobials for use in post-harvest preservation of fruits and vegetables, cleaning solutions, and sanitizers. Natural molecule and biosurfactant fermentations use substrates that are innocuous and renewable compared to those used for synthetic or petroleum-derived surfactants. Natural fermentation utilizes fewer resources, employs processes that are less complex, uses less capital and energy, and excludes the use and disposal of hazardous substances during the process.
